In this IMG activity, you assign consumption profiles to plants.

Messages for the "Goods Movement" service are only transferred when a consumption profile is assigned to a plant. This activity is linked with the Consumption Profiles activity, in which you define the storage locations and movement types for which messages are sent to an external system.

The standard system does not contain any entries.

You can assign consumption profiles to plants at several different levels:

  • You can assign a consumption profile directly to a plant.
  • You can assign a consumption profile to a sales area (sales organization, distribution channel, or division). As a result, all plants from that sales area are assigned the consumption profile. If you do not want to assign the consumption profile to a plant in the sales area, you have to create an additional entry to exclude it.
  • You can assign a consumption profile to a distribution chain (sales organization or distribution channel). As a result, all plants from that distribution chain are assigned the consumption profile. If you do not want to assign the consumption profile to a plant in the distribution chain, you have to create an additional entry to exclude it.

You want to assign consumption profile "FIM" to the plants of distribution chain "0001 / 01" - with the exception of plant "0010" - and to plants "0511" and "0631".

Distribution Chain Division Plant Consumption Profile Exclusion
0001 / 01 01   FIM
0001 / 01 01 0010 FIM X
0002 / 01 01 0511 FIM
0003 / 01 00 0631 FIM
