In this IMG activity, you can maintain the following global control parameters for the article hierarchy:

  • Change document
When the change document flag is set, change documents are generated when articles and nodes are changed in active article hierarchies. The flag status is checked when the article hierarchy is activated.
  • End node check
If the flag for the end node check is set, a check is performed for value-only articles in active hierarchies, which ensures that the articles are only attached to end nodes in an active hierarchy. If the flag is not set, no end node check is performed for value-only articles. If you set the flag and active article hierarchies already exist in the system, a warning message is issued due to the potential data inconsistency.
  • Deletion check
You can configure the check logic for the automatic and manual deletion of child assignments and/or article assignments customer-specifically. This applies to both scheduled and unscheduled article hierarchies. If the deletion check is activated, node assignments can only be deleted if no other nodes or articles are assigned to the node.
  • Event communication
You can configure the communication of article hierarchy changes customer-specifically. If event communication is activated, a workflow-capable event is created for each change to structure and article assignment.
  • CDT update
You can use this parameter to control the update of the master data for the article hierarchy in the SAP BW. If the parameter is set, the master data is updated in the SAP BW - if the flag for updating the hierarchy is set. If the parameter is not set, the master data of the article hierarchy is updated in the SAP BW (up to ten levels).
  • Number range interval
You can use this parameter to configure an internal or external number range interval for the article hierarchy, globally and customer-specifically.
  • Sort sequence
In the tree display, the article hierarchy is sorted by the technical node ID by default. You can also define sorting by the node description here.
  • The Custmoizing settings are checked for active and planned article hierarchies, dependent on the respective parameters.

No entries are contained in the standard delivery.
