In this IMG activity, you can maintain paramters for Open-to-Buy (OTB).
- You can activate Open-to-Buy in "General Control".
- You can choose the unit in 'Scenario Selection".
This ensures that the suitable planning types and standard analyses are used. You can choose between the following:
- Sales prices including value-added tax
- Sales prices without value-added tax
- Purchase prices without value-added tax
In addition to the value-based calculation of OTB, you can also specify whther the calculation is to be carried out in terms of quantity.
- You control the OTB check in the purchase order under "Control order check" in the purchase order.
- Check in the purchase order
You can indicate whether and how you want to be warned when you create a purchase order and exceed the limit. This function has a very negative effect on performance levels due to the extensive nature of the checks.
Alternatively, you can use exception reporting to perform a periodic OTB check. This does not affect the online processes.
- Planning type for the order warning
Here you need to specify the planning type used to create the plan and which is used to check the purchase order.
The planning type is relevant for the planning horizon.
- Version number for the order warning
Here you need to specify the planning version to be checked in the purchase order.
For reasons of performance, you should only acticate Open-to-Buy when you also want to implement OTB.
If you do not require the quantity-based OTB calculation, you should switch off this function for performance reasons.
