W_HH_GF_032 - Define PDC Unit Types and Function Keys

In this step you make the system settings that define PDC unit types and their function key assignments.

1. Define the PDC unit types.

Unit types are distinguished by unit-specific keyboard layouts and manufacturer-specific function key codes.

1. Define the function keys for each PDC unit type. Define the following values for each function key.

• Function key: This value is only used internally, but influences the sequence of applications in the menu: Applications are sorted alphabetically according to this key.

• Function key code: This code is unit and browser-specific and corresponds to the value in the meta tag <meta http-equiv="" content=""> , for example <meta http-equiv="IBrowse_OnKey49" content="...">. For more information, see the manufacturer documentation.

• Short text: This should correspond to the label for the function key.

• The long text is optional. You can enter a more detailed description here.
