In this IMG activity, you make the settings that are required in order to be able to start evaluation reports over the Internet.

Notes for authorization administration:

Prerequisites

In order to execute reports via the Internet, your authorization group must be filled with a value. You can do this using report RSCSAUTH.

Procedure

  1. Start report RSCSAUTH by choosing System -> Services -> Reporting.
  2. Enter the name of the report that is to be changed, (you could also enter an authorization group (for example, "SWANALYS"))
  3. Execute the report.
  4. Enter authorization groups in the list.
  5. Select all reports that are to be changed.
  6. Save your entries.
  7. Confirm the "Change TRDIR entries?" prompt with yes.

SAP Retail Store uses RSTWBFAF, RSTWBFLI, RSTWBFMB, RWBEST01 and several standard analyses. For the standard analyses (RMCW0000 to RMCW9999), the authorization group must be set to SWANALYS. For the other reports, you can select any authorization group.

General information about authorization administration:

In this step, you can create roles and use the profile generator to generate authorization profiles.

To assign an authorization profile to a user, do the following:

  1. Create a role
  2. Enter a description
  3. Select transactions
  4. Create and edit authorizations
  5. Assigns users and compare the user master (in doing so, the profile is entered in the user's master record)
  6. Transport roles, if desired

Detailed documentation

For more information about the procedures, see transaction documentation

See also the general documentation on the Profile Generator in the SAP Library. Choose:
Basis Components → Computing Center Management System → Users and Roles or in the Implementation Guide (IMG), choose: Basis Components → System Administration → Users and Authorizations → Maintain Authorizations and Profiles using Profile Generator.

Note

You can also use authorization profiles you created manually or were delivered by SAP, in roles. You can create a role without a menu and include the corresponding profile in the authorization data of the role.

In the fourth step, choose "Edit -> Add authorization -> From profile" to add the authorization profile data to the role.

Special cases

Every user who wants to start reports over the Internet needs authorization to execute the relevant authorization group (authorization object S_PROGRAM, user action = SUBMIT, authorization group, for example, SWANALYS). For more information about the authorization concept, see the documentation for the SAP Retail Store in the SAP Library.
