In this IMG activity, you make system settings that define the reasons for ordering in the Purchase Orderapplication in In-Store Merchandise and Inventory Management (in Web Dynpro technology). The reasons for ordering entered here are shown in a dropdown list in the maintenance dialog using the display texts that you entered when input help for the Reason for Ordering field is called. Reasons for ordering can be maintained separately for normal items and returns items.

First you create grouping schemas that group the required reasons for ordering. Then you assign the grouping schemas to designated plants in your company so that the groupings can take effect when the application is used in the plants.

The reasons for ordering must be created in Customizingfor Materials Management.

Assign the required reasons for ordering to each grouping schema. For each reason indicate whether it should only be used for normal items, for returns items, or for both normal and returns items.
