SAP E-Book

This Business Add-In forms the interface for the data export in the RRM interface between SAP Retail and an external Retail Revenue Management system (RRM system). Instead of the BAdI communicating directly with the RRM system, a data exchange program that is specific to the RRM system is usually added to execute and control the transfer of data.

The data export is implemented in the method DOWNLOAD.

This BAdI is filter-dependent with the expandable filter type W_RP_RRM_OUTBOUND_FILTER. Using filter dependency it is possible to connect several (different) RRM systems. Different implementation forms for connecting RRM systems can be identified by the different filter values used for the aforementioned filter type. This technology also allows you to make specific implementations for exporting different types of data (master data, purchasing prices, price points, historical sales data) that are relevant for an RRM system. When you are creating an implementation for this Business Add-In you must specify the filter value in Customizing for pricing.

If data is to be transferred using a data exchange program, you must first ensure that this program is installed either locally on the appropriate workstation or centrally on an application server.

For the data export in the RRM interface you require an implementation for this Business Add-In. However, as the technical structure is specific to the RRM system no standard shipment is possible. However, example implementations (see below) are shipped to illustrate possible procedures.

To carry out the data export for an RRM system, you create a suitable implementation for the chosen filter value.
