SAP E-Book

You define the combination of fields for which you want to create condition records in a condition table. You can view the fields available in the second activity, Field Catalog Messages for Trading Contract.. For example, you can control message determination so that is dependent on the combination of sales channel and customer.

The following condition tables are defined in the standard SAP system:

  • 006 Sales organization/distribution channel/division and customer
  • 170 Purchasing organization/invoicing party (supplier)
  • 049 Company code

You should not change the condition tables supplied in the standard system. If you want to make changes, you should create new condition tables. To do this, you copy an existing table and make the necessary changes.

If you want to create a new condition table, proceed as follows:

  1. Select Maintain condition tables and choose Choose.
  2. In the field Table, enter a number between 501 and 999 . Select Condition, Create and enter the number of the table you wish to copy.
  3. Choose Continue.
  4. Change the table description.
  5. In the screen area Selected fields, select the fields to be deleted.
  6. Choose Edit → Delete line(s).
  7. In the screen area Field catalog, select the fields to be copied by double-clicking on them. The fields are then copied to the screen area Selected fields.
  8. Choose Generate.
  9. Enter the condition table in the access sequences. This establishes a link between the message condition, access sequence, and message condition record.
