In this Customizing activity, you make the settings for bar code entry.

  • For document type:

In this step, you define the document types.

  1. Perform the function.
You go to a list of all document types.
  1. In change mode, choose Edit -> New entries.
  2. Enter the:
    1. Document type
    2. Long description
    3. Document category
    4. Status
The status flag determines whether a document appears in the Business Document Navigator as a standard document (status flag is selected) or not (status flag is not selected).
  1. Choose Table view -> Save.

Take account of the naming conventions. Names Y* and Z* are defined for new names.

  • For link to archive:

In this step, you define the links for the storage of documents in the optical archive.

For a detailed description of the process, see Basis Services / SAP ArchiveLink / Basic Settings / Maintain Links in the IMG.

An (optical) archive exists.

The archive link for the outbound document currently exists for transmission medium printing but not faxing.

Also make the settings for the following business objects:

  • BUS2100001

  • BUS2100002

  • BUS2125

  • BUS2126001

  • BUS2126002
