In this Customizing activity, you enable the usage of numeric batch classification characteristics in the standard pricing per procedure. Due to the fact that a batch classification can be created at any point in time after batch creation and no new pricing takes place in the trading contract, it is necessary to specify the condition types that should be redetermined in the standard pricing.

Numeric batch classification is based on scales with scale base indicator G (scale based on a formula) and the scale base formula 060. To use the scale formula, it is necessary to reactivate scale base formula 060:

  1. Go to transaction VOFM and choose Formulas ->Scale Base.
  2. Check if subroutine FRM_STAFFELBAS_060 is available in function group V61A. If not, select scale base formula 60 and choose Edit -> Activate to activate the formula. After the activation the subroutine FRM_STAFFELBAS_060 should be available in the function group V61A.
  3. Create a condition table (with validity period and without release status) that contains the material (field MATNR) and the characteristic name (field ATNAM_TC).
  4. Create access sequences (application M (Purchasing) and application V (Sales/Distribution) are available) that use the document fields KOMP-MATNR (not KOMP-PMATN due to the dependency on the batch data) and KOMP-ATNAM_TC.
  5. Create condition types (item based) for the used applications. The condition types have to use scale base indicator G, scale formula 060, and the access sequences.
  6. Create condition records for the condition types. The condition record must have condition rate 0 and an up or from scale. The value of the batch classification characteristic is used as scale base value. This means that the scale quantity in the scale represents the characteristic values.
Due the fact that the condition type uses the scale base indicator G (scale based on a formula), only single-value characteristics with positive numeric single values (maximal 3 decimals) can be used. A characteristic value of 0 or a nonexistent characteristic value is handled by the program in the same manner: For all valid characteristics of the batch classification condition records are searched during the standard pricing independent of a value assignment. For such characteristic values the program determines a scale base value of 0. As a consequence, a scale base value of 0 always results in a condition rate of 0.
