W_WB2B_RISK_002 - Define Profiles for BOM Items

In this Customizing activity, you define profiles for BOM items. A profile determines whether coupled risk is enabled for BOM headers and BOM components. You assign a group of changeable fields to a profile to allow manual changes to certain fields in a BOM item. You also specify quantity update rules to determine how manual changes to BOM header quantities are applied to BOM components.

You have defined changeable fields in the Customizing activity Define Changeable Fields.

1. Create a profile.
2. Enable coupled risk if required.
3. Specify a group of changeable fields
4. Enter the rule you want the system to use for updating the quantities of BOM components.
5. Enable the use of this profile in a portfolio in the Customizing activity Maintain Portfolio Type.

You create a new profile for BOM items. You assign a group of changeable fields to the profile that specifies that the field Sales Quantity is changeable. During an update of a shadow trading contract or during online processing, a shadow item is updated. You can manually change the value in the Sales Quantity field.

You then enable the use of this profile in a portfolio and assign the profile to a BOM during portfolio management or during trading contract processing. You can now manually change the values in the Sales Quantity field in the list of BOM items for a shadow trading contract.
