W_WD_GF_010 - Grouping of Unit of Measurements

In this IMG activity you make system settings that define units of measure for materials in the Purchase Order, Goods Movement and Physical Inventoryapplications in In-Store Merchandise and Inventory Management (with Web-Dynpro).

First you create Customizing or grouping schemas that group the required units of measure. Then you assign these grouping schemas to designated plants in the company, so that the groupings can take effect in the plants when an application is used.

The required units of measure must already be created in the system.

Proceed as follows to perform this activity:

1. Define one or more grouping schemas according to the requirements of the business processes in the plants.

2. Assign the required units of measure to each grouping schema.

3. Flag a grouping schema as standard in the overview screen of the grouping schemas. You must set this flag even if you only use one grouping schema.

4. Assign the grouping schemas to the designated plants. You do not need to make any entries for plants that will use the standard grouping schema.
