Under Basic Settings for Enhanced Material Search, you can define which settings you wish to use for the extended material search in the context of goods movements in the SAP Retail Store.

Here you define basic settings for the extended material search help in the context of goods movements and you save them in a settings schema. For more information on the different settings, see the help function for the relevant fields.

To simplify the assignment to plants, one settings schema is determined as the standard and this is then used automatically by way of integrated logic for those plants to which no settings schemas have been assigned.

Proceed as follows:

1. Define one or more settings schemas depending on whether the requirements of the business process are uniform or different in your plants.
   
   For each settings schema, maintain the preferred basic settings.
2. On the overview screen of the settings schemas, flag one setting schema as standard.
   
   You must flag one settings schema even if you use only one settings schema.
3. Now assign the settings schemas to your plants.
   
   For plants that are to use the standard settings schema, you do not need to make any entries due to the integrated logic.
