In this Customizing activity, you make the settings for displaying selected system messages in accordance with your requirements.

You can

• define the message type (error, warning, message in footer, message in window)

• completely switch off a message

In the Dialog column, you can define the message type for the following processing types:

• Online

• Background processing

• In the dialog (open) of processed batch input

You can define the message type for batch input processed in the background in the BatchI column.

You can make these settings for all or individual users.

1. Choose Edit -> New entries
2. Enter the following data:

• Message number

Note that only selected messages in an application area are changeable.

• User name

If you enter a name here, your settings apply only to that user. If you do not enter a name here, the settings apply for all the users in the client.

• Message type

Enter the required message type.

• Save your entries. The related message text is included automatically.

You can transport settings for message control manually. To do this, choose Table View -> Transport.
