In this IMG activity you make settings for elementary target types, depending on your chosen application.

1. Define the elementary target types:

• Assign a period rule to the elementary target.
  The periodicity of the elementary target and the complex targets assigned to the elementary target must be identical.

• Assign a value type to the elementary target that determines whether the target is a quantity or a currency and which also determines the permitted units for this target type.

If you wish these values to be determined dynamically, set the corresponding indicator and implement the BAdI (BAdI: Dynamic Reading of Actual and Target Values).
Note that the values determined dynamically by the system during runtime will be overwritten by the values entered directly by the user.

1. Assign these elementary target types to complex target types.

The complex target employee success is composed of the elementary targets profit, business volume and customer satisfaction.
