When you construct applications, you can change and extend data areas and interfaces of your application to differ from the standard system, which is created by the chosen combination of ISF packages.

To extend the application structures that are to be generated, you need to have additional fields in the field selection. You can transfer structures and tables directly to your field selection from the local system and other SAP systems. For any non-SAP systems, you need to manually create one or more structures for the field selection. You can copy fields from the field selection to the generated structures by using Drag&Drop.

We recommend that you start with the interfaces that are used for transferring information to Incentive and Commission Management. Specify the additional information that you need for the commission calculation, and when and where you want to import this information. The data can be provided with the commission case or later in another process step as needed, for example, by means of a user exit.

Next, decide which data you additionally want to save in the database, and in which tables.

The construction result is saved as a Designin the database. Your changes only take effect after generation.

You must complete all previous activities in the IMG first. You need to have a concept for the technical implementation of the business requirements.

If you want to use objects from another SAP system in the construction, you need to set up an RFC connection.

You can technically extend an application as follows:

  • Copy objects whose technical name ends in '01'.
  • Add fields to objects.
