SAP E-Book

In this IMG activity, you run batch input processing to create the condition records.

You have a choice of three processing modes for the session:

  • "Process in foreground"
You can correct faulty transactions online and process transactions that have not been executed step-by-step.
  • "Only display errors"
You can correct faulty transactions online. Transactions that have not yet been executed and do not contain any errors run in the background.
  • "Process in background"
In this type of processing, a session is processed immediately in the background.

You can start any session from the overview of the sessions still to be processed.

The session remains in the session overview, even once it has been successfully processed. The status changes to "Processed".

If a transaction in the session contains an error (for example, if the condition record has already been created), then the transaction is cancelled. All other transactions are completed. The session remains in the session overview and receives the status "Faulty". You can correct a session with one of the online processing types, and complete processing.

Under "Transport Version-Managed Customizing and Conditions" in the IMG for Commissions, you have done the following activities:

  • Condition Tables and Remuneration Procedures

SAP recommends that you run the batch input session in the background.

  1. Create a session overview
In the initial screen, enter the session name as a selection criterium, that you specified in the IMG activity Create Batch Input Session.
  1. In the session overview, select the session to be run.
  2. Run your batch input session.
  3. Check the created cost elements using the master data index in the information system.

When you run a batch input session, you can also use the following functions:

  • Lock/unlock
  • Release
  • Delete
  • Analyze
  • Log
  • Extended log
  • Expert mode
  • Statistics
  • Queue
