When a company has a value added process, it can provide commission. A prerequisite for the value added process is when a business transaction affects a business object.
You have defined the business object categories that are permitted in the Implementation Guide (IMG).
Examples of business transactions and their business object:
Business transaction: New contract
Business object:Insurance contract
--------------------------------------------------
Business transaction:Brokerage of orders
Business object: Order
--------------------------------------------------
Business transaction: Supporting in-force business
Business object: In-force business
--------------------------------------------------
Similar business objects that have a certain amount in common must be grouped into business object types. Only these can be used in Incentive and Commission Management.
- Private liability insurance contract of Mr. Brown (business object)
- Private liability insurance contract of Mr. Smith (business object)
- Private liability insurance of Mrs. Jones (business object)
All the business objects above are assigned to the business object type called Private Liability Insurance Policy.
A business object type indicates the way in which a business object is structured. However, not all of the information is relevant for the commission calculation. You store the characteristics that are relevant for the commission calculation in the construction, as attributes of the subobject types.
The attributes of the subobject types are normally a subset of the business object type information.
Business object type: Private liability insurance policy
Subobject Type: Tariff
Attributes: Coverage total for personal loss, or coverage total for property damage, for example
