SAP E-Book

In this activity you use a key to define the locking reasons for locking telecommunications service objects (such as a telephone number), and assign a lock level and an origin to this locking reason. A locking reason is unique and cannot be used several times (such as for locks at the request of the customer in SAP CRM and financial locks (SAP RM-CA)).

Define your locking reasons and assign the origin, lock levels and lock type.

  • You use the origin to define where the lock comes from. You can choose between the following options here:
  • Financial: Lock is controlled automatically by the financial system from which it originates (such as SAP RM-CA).

  • Customer: Lock was set in SAP CRM at the request of the customer.

  • You can only select lock levels, which you have previously defined in the Define Lock Levels activity.
  • You can use the lock type to define when locks are to be forwarded to external systems. The following options only are available to you here:
  • Worklist: The lock is recorded in a database table and sent via a report (Transaction CRM_IST_LOCK_PROCESS, Report CRM_IST_LOCK_LIST_PROCESSING) at a defined time (recorded in the telecommunications service object).

  • Directly: The lock is forwarded to external systems immediately via XI.

You can set future locks in the Interaction Center WebClient. However, you can only specify locking reasons, which have been defined as locks at the request of the customer (origin).

You can also unlock financial locks from SAP RM-CA that are controlled automatically in the Interaction Center WebClient. However, you can only specify locking reasons with lock level 00, which have been defined as financial locks (origin).
