You configure pricing in Customizing for Sales and Distribution under Basic Functions -> Pricing -> Pricing Control in the following activities:

  1. Define Condition Tables -> Create Condition Tables
  2. Define Access Sequences -> Maintain Access Sequences
  3. Define Condition Types -> Set Pricing Condition Types
  4. Define and Assign Pricing Procedures -> Set Pricing Procedures

Execute the activities in the sequence above.

For Pricing in Convergent Invoicing, SAP provides the following Customizing example:

  • Define Condition Tables
SAP provides the following condition tables:
  • 4BA with the key fields Business Partner/Material/Activity Type

  • 4BB with the key fields Business Partner/Material/Activity Type/Variant Configuration

You define the material according to settings in Customizing for Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable under Basic Functions -> Provider Contract -> Make Central Settings for Products in the material master or in the FI-CA product table.
  • Define Access Sequences
SAP provides the following access sequences:
  • PST0 contains a series of accesses to the condition table A4BA

  • PSTV contains a series of accesses to the condition table A4BB

  • Define Condition Types
SAP provides the following condition types:
  • PST0: Activity-type-based pricing (access sequence PST0)

  • PST1: Activity-type-based pricing taking a variant configuration into account – absolute amount (access sequence PSTV)

  • PST2: Activity-type-based pricing taking a variant configuration into account – percentage (access sequence PSTV)

  • Define Pricing Procedures
SAP provides pricing procedures beginning with CI, such as CI1001 for Germany and CI1701 for the USA.
The naming convention follows the CIxxyy rule, where CI stands for Convergent Invoicing, xx for the SET country/region code, and yy for the counter, if SAP provides multiple procedures for a country/region.
