Billing rule EDR01B is an enhanced version of billing rule EDR01. While EDR01 works with fixed defined data structures from the DDIC, EDR01B can work with any aggregation structures.

In this activity, you define the possible aggregation structures for billing rule EDR01B.

The following fields must be available in the aggregation structures:

AGGR_KEY: Operand, MWSKZ, Ext_tax_date, Bukrs

AGGR_SUM: EDRCurr, EDRAmount

AGGR_ATTR: KSchl

The three standard aggregation structures correspond to the structures from EDR01.

Make sure that, as opposed to EDR01, billing rule EDR01B is optimized for high flexibility and not high performance. Only use EDR01B if this flexibility is required. In standard cases, use EDR01.

Telephone calls and prepaid top-ups are billed in a billing run. While the telephone calls are aggregated using EDR01 with the EDR type, the prepaid top-ups are aggregated and listed by credit card in the billing document. EDR01B is used for the prepaid top-ups and aggregated using a different structure the EDR01 for the telephone calls.
