In this activity, you define the data storage for billed items.

You can define data storage separately for billed items and for simulated billed items.

You defined the table set of the entered table in the Maintain Billable Item Classes activity.

Processing this activity is optional. If you do not create an entry, the system uses the tables for table set 00 or S0 by default with simulated billing documents. SAP however recommends using several tables for storing billed items. In this way, you gain better control over the data volume and improve the access time to the billed items.

Define the table set for a billable item class and also specify the date from which the set is to be used.

If you use several storage tables and want to make a periodic table switch, you have to assign these various period groups and specify the period category and period length. The usage of a periodic table switch means that there is no need for the determination of the storage tables to be regularly updated manually.

The automatic table switch is carried out for each period group. If several tables are assigned to a period group, the storage tables of the group in the billing are selected for each random algorithm.

If the storage table in the billing is exclusively selected for each random algorithm, you do not have to make specifications for the period.
