In this activity, you assign the reasons for dependent items to the dependent item types. A dependent item is assigned for each reason assigned to a dependent item type.

In this configuration step, you additionally define the respective underlying settings (for example, class and item type) for the consumption items and dependent items.

Specify the source transaction type for each entry.

The following default settings are valid for all reasons:

  • Billable Item Class 0SAP
  • Billable Item Type Y001
  • Subprocess Y001

You assign the reason MECHANICAL (mechanical royalties) to the type MSDL (music download). You can also assign other reasons.

For each entry, you also specify the consumption item class or billable item class to which the generated dependent items are assigned.
