The credit segment is a freely-definable organizational unit of SAP Credit Management, such as by product types or business areas. It groups the businesses of an organization from the lending and credit control viewpoint.

Define the credit segments.

The credit segment behavior towards the business partner is analogous to that of the company code to the customer in Financials. Correspondingly, a business partner can have master data for multiple credit segments.

The credit segments that you define here must match those in SAP Credit Management. The credit segments are used there to split the credit exposure into different areas (for example, country/region A and B).
