In this step, you specify which logical ports the individual rating areas use to communicate with your CC systems.

  • In the previous activities, you have activated the option for connecting multiple CC systems to an FI-CA system, and defined rating areas.
  • You have defined logical ports in the Web service configuration for the Web services that the FI-CA system uses to communicate with the CC systems.
In this activity, the system displays the supported Web services (proxy classes) in the input help for the proxy class.

To connect two CC systems to your FI-CA system, proceed as follows:

  1. You define the two rating areas:
Rating Area Name
CC1 CC system 1
CC2 CC system 2

  1. You configure the rating process for these rating areas by following these steps:
You configure the ports for the charging Web service (proxy class CO_FKKCC_RATING_SERVICES) as follows:
  • You define logical port P1, which forwards the charging Web service call to CC system 1.

  • You define logical port P2, which forwards the Web service call to CC system 2.

  1. You assign rating areas to the ports as follows:
Proxy Class Logical Port Rating Area

CO_FKKCC_RATING_SERVICES P1 CC1
CO_FKKCC_RATING_SERVICES P2 CC2

If the FI-CA system now sends a consumption item to SAP CC, the rating process determines the rating area from the provider contract. From the rating area, the system derives the logical port for the Web service.
