_FICAPV_TFKVTPRDFORM - Define Output and Storage Location of Product ID

If you use the FI-CA product table as the storage location for product data, please define the following here:

• How the product ID appears on the surface

• How the product ID are saved in the database (this is important for numerical product IDs.

If you use the material master for the storage location of product data, the settings are then relevant in the Customizing of the material number for the output format of the product ID in the provider contract (see Customizing for logistics general settings under Material Master -> Basic Settings -> Define Output Format for Material Master).

Due to the far reaching impacts of this system settings, SAP does not deliver any predefined settings with the default setting. Please consider carefully if the product ID is to be saved lexicographically. You cannot undo this setting if a pure numeric product ID has been created.

If you do not make any setting, the product ID is allowed a maximum length of 40 characters.
