Define external reference types to define reference IDs in provider contracts.

For each reference type, you can define any number of reference IDs for a provider contract, for example, to print them in invoices.

SAP delivers reference types that start with 1 or 5.

You can add your own reference types to those delivered by SAP, provided that they do not start with 1 or 5.

Example

SAP delivers reference type 0001 for the route ID that you require for communicating with authorities in Germany.
