In this activity you define the name of a function module that you have programmed yourself for an event predefined by SAP.

You can use your own function module to intervene in the flow of the standard programs and to include installation-specific processing. The system executes the function module when the program reaches the event.

  1. Perform the activity to obtain an overview of the possible events.
    The form in which standard processing can be interrupted is specified for each event (see the Additional Function field).
You can find the description for an event in the documentation for the respective sample function module. Select the event you want, and choose Display Function Module.
You can determine the points in the program at which the event is triggered using the where-used list for the sample function module.
  1. To determine which standard function modules are delivered for an event, select the event and choose Standard Function Modules. The list of standard function modules also specifies whether customer function modules are permitted (see the field No Customer Modules).
  2. Decide on the events for which you need your own function modules.
  3. Program the required function modules. To do so, copy the sample function module into your own function module group.
  4. In this activity, enter the the names of your function modules for each event. To do this, select the event you want and choose Installation-Specific Function Modules.

You can define some events, which SAP has prepared for this, as BRFplus functions. Proceed as follows:

  1. Choose the event you want by double-clicking it.
  2. Choose the @39@ Create BRFplus Function tab page.
  3. Create the BRFplus function with an appropriate context, as well as an installation-specific function module that calls the BRFplus function with the program context.
