In Customizing, you activate the basic functions for broker collections.

Integration with Dunning

You use the Dunning Lock for Dependent Contracts on Broker Contract indicator to decide whether you exclude insurance objects that are assigned to the broker contract from a dunning notice.

You use the Broker Dunning Status Is Used indicator to define that broker data and broker contract data is to be added automatically to dunning items.

Integration with Coinsurance Reporting

You use the Brokers Transfer Coinsurance Shares indicator to define that the brokers of a leading insurance company can transfer coinsurance shares independently.

Settings for Posting

You use the Use Collective Reconciliation Key indicator to define that you can post multiple broker reports under the same reconciliation key.

You use the No OI Selection for Postings on Account indicator to define that no open items are selected when you post broker report items on account.

You use the Use Collective Reconciliation Key checkbox to define that you can post multiple broker reports under the same reconciliation key.

Enhanced Broker Assignments for Notification Items

The settings that you can make here are only effective if you have activated the Alternative Collecting Broker enhancement in Customizing of contract accounts receivable and payable.

When you create a notification item in a broker report, the system tries to enhance a unique broker that matches the other selection criteria (for example, insurance contract or customer). When the Alternative Collecting Brokerenhancement is activated, the system takes not only master data into consideration, but also open documents within the settlement period. You can use these settings to enhance the content of the documents taken into consideration.

You can use the Include Cleared Document Line Items indicator to define whether cleared documents are also to be used in searches.

You can use the Number of Days Before the Analysis Period to enhance further the period to be taken into consideration in searches. To do this, enter the number of days you want.

Settings for Notification Creation

You can use the Assigned Broker Freely Definable indicator to define that items for a combination of insurance object and assigned broker can also be created in a broker report without storing a corresponding relationship in the master data.
