You assign a legal relationship type in this activity to each insurance legacy system that transfers postings to the collections and disbursements system.

Depending on the document category, you enter a legal relationship type either in the document header or in the line item. For this reason, you must be certain that the legal relationship is

• specified when data from insurance legacy systems is transferred to the interface

• defined in the collections/disbursements system.

The legal relationship type is a criterion for the automatic determination of receivables and payables accounts.

Check and supplement the standard legal relationship types if necessary.
