_ISPSDE_AKTVERF - Set Activation Procedures for Budget Versions

In this step, you stipulate the budget version activation process for each FM area.

If you activate the budget versions for an FM area on a year-dependent basis, the system first assumes that all the fiscal years and budget versions in this FM area are blocked against editing. Editing is not possible until you have activated the desired fiscal years/budget versions/commercial transactions for this FM area. You do this in the Activate Activity-Related Budget Versions step.

If you activate the year-independent budget version block for an FM area, the program first assumes that all FM areas/fiscal years and budget versions can be processed. You must explicity block the budget version that is to be blocked for processing. You block a budget version in Funds Management under Budgeting -> Versions -> Block. The block is in effect for the specified budget version irrespective of year and for all business transactions.

All FM areas, to which you assign no activation procedure, use the previous procedure - that is the year-independent budget version block.

1. Assign the appropriate activation procedure to the FM areas in which you want to use the year-dependent budget version block.
2. Activate the relevant budget versions in these FM areas.
   You do this in the Activate Activity-Related Budget Versions step.
