In this step, you create budget memos. Budget memos control the process (such as revenues increasing the budget or reciprocal cover eligibility) that an FM account assignment can be part of. You assign budget memos to individual FM account assignments in rule maintenance for cover eligibility.

A budget memo consists of a budget memo type and description texts.

The budget memo type represents the process, such as 'additional revenues entitled to additional expenditures' or 'revenue shortfalls subject to expenditure shortfalls'.

You can create more than one budget memo (with the text for each one being different) for each budget memo type. For each budget memo, you can enter a short text, a description and an explanatory long text of up to 150 characters.

Any budget memos assigned are shown in the budget plan for each FM account assignment, if the corresponding long text is printed out with the budget plan printout.

  1. Enter a key for the budget memo using New Entries.
    Entries can be numberic or alphanumeric.
  2. Choose a budget memo type.
  3. Enter a short text, a description and a long text.
    The text you enter in the long text field is printed out in the budget plan printout.
