SAP E-Book

In this step, you define the structure of the external data, create a transfer program and prepare the fields of the receiver structure. To prepare the receiver structure, you assign a category to the transfer program, which predefines the receiver structure.

SAP recommends that you keep the sender structure similar to the receiver structure and ensure that you have the corresponding format in the data selection programs.

If your external system cannot provide the default structure, you can change it, if necessary, by adjusting the list in point 5b, deleting lines as required.

However, SAP recommends that you do not make changes to the default structure.

  1. Choose Edit -> New Entries.
  2. Enter the name of your transfer program, for example, DI_OBJEKT, in the Sender Structure field.
    1. The field behind Sender Structure is provided for the free text for the program.
    2. Choose 140 in the Transfer Category field.
  3. In the table, enter 1 in the Position column and a name of the form RKCTxxx (RKCTC01, for example) in the DDIC Structure column
  4. A new screen will appear with an empty list.
    1. Enter an arbitrary name in the field next to the structure RKCTxxx (RKCTC01, for example).
    2. Select Sender structure -> Include template.
This will include a predefined transfer structure (140).
  5. Select Save. This will activate the sender structure in DDIC.
  6. Exit the screen by selecting Back.
  7. Exit the next screen by selecting Back also.
