_ISPSFM_OF38 - Assign Commitment Type Profile to FM Area

In this step, you define your commitment type profile for each FM area and fiscal year.

You have defined commitment type profile types in the previous step.

Take note that you cannot use the functions of cover eligiblity and commitment type at the same time. If you want to assign a commitment type profile to your FM area, no cover eligibility profile can be assigned to this FM area for the corresponding fiscal year in step Assign Cover Eligibility Profile to FM area.

Enter your assignments.
If you are working with funds and overall values and availability conducts its checks against overall values, you must make an entry for the fiscal year "0000". This entry then applies to all funds where availability control makes its checks against overall values.

As soon as you have made the assignment, availability control makes its checks based on the profile.

If you assign a commitment type profile with a different commitment type to your FM area for one fiscal year, you must reconstruct the assigned values.
To reconstruct the assigned values, go to the Funds Management application menu and choose Budgeting -> Tools -> Reconstruct Assigned Values.
