_ISTBDBP_000008 - Maint. Params for Creating Ref. Cust. in Standard System

In this IMG activity, you will maintain the parameters for the automatic creation of customers in SD for the business partners in IS-T.

If you want to use your customers' information in the standard components as well, it makes sense to manage the IS-T business partners as SD customers. To simplify and largely automate this process, first create one or more sample SD customers that can be used as a template for automatically creating an SD customer for an IS-T business partner. The naming conventions for the sample customers ensure that only certain sample customers can be used as valid templates for creating the IS-T partner in SD.

The automatic creation of SD customers when a sample customer is specified is controlled through characteristics like "Mandatory creation of SD customers" or "System action when SD customer already exists for IS-T partner".

Maintain a naming convention for your sample SD customers:

• Enter a 4-character abbreviation (e.g. SMPL) that all the valid sample customers must have in their first four characters.
