There are several special procedures for the calorific value procedure:

  • Reference calorific value
The calorific value indicates how much energy (such as kWh) a standard volume unit (such as standard cubic meter) of gas contains. The reference calorific value field defines which fixed value the calorific value relates to. For example 10kWh/cbm.
The normal calorific value for gas billing that is calculated using the calorific value procedure, is redivided by this calorific value. If you do not enter a value in this field in IMG activity Define Calorific Value Procedure, the standard value is 1.
  • Last value
The Last value field in IMG activity Define Calorific Value Procedure means that only the last calorific value in the billing period is taken into account in gas billing. If you have selected this field, each averaging type is suppressed.
This procedure is primarily intended for demand billing, to avoid any unnecessary prorations. To use this procedure, you must also select this field in the associated volume correction factor and calorific factor procedures for the gas procedure.
