In this IMG activity, you define standard settings for the function Create Sales Quotation/Order. This function can be found in the menu in Utilities Industry -> Customer Service -> IS-U Sales Processing.

A profile is a record of settings. You can create a number of different profiles, and use any one of them when you call the function. In this way, you can allocate different standard settings to different users.

In a profile, you define the following:

  • Whether the system creates sales quotations or orders
  • Quotation and order categories
  • Other standard settings for the quotation/order

In addition, you establish settings for the master data template used for creating and changing business partners/contract accounts, and connection objects/premises.

The IMG activity Define Master Data Template for Sales Quotation/Order describes how to copy and complete standard master data templates in order to create/change the above-mentioned objects.

In the profile, enter the names of the copied templates in the Master data template: business partner and Master data template: premise fields.

To create a business partner in the IS-U Sales Processing screen, you must enter an SD reference customer. Note that the reference customer must be allocated to an accounts group with internal number assignment.

You only have to enter data in the Program, Screen number, and Check function module for partner/premise fields if you want to define your own interfaces or functions for the the business partner/contract account or connection object/premise. To do this, proceed as follows:

  1. Copy the function group ISU_SALES_SETTYPE_PARTNER (for the business partner/contract account), or ISU_SALES_SETTYPE_SERVLOC (for the connection object/premise) to your namespace.
  2. Adjust the interface to meet your requirements. You can use all the fields from the structures ESALES_SETTYPE_PARTNER or ESALES_SETTYPE_SERVLOC.
  3. Implement your checks and additional functions in the check function module. This function module is run before the system saves the data. You then enter the copied objects here in the profile.

The system enters the program name of your function in the Program name field.
