Device &1 cannot be varied off at this time.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : There are jobs in the system which are currently using device &1. If this is an intrasystem device and no jobs are currently using the device, internal processing may be completing for this device.
Recovery . . . : If this is not a network server host adapter device, use the Work with Configuration Status (WRKCFGSTS) command to determine which jobs are using the device. Then either wait for the jobs to complete before you try to vary the device off again, or end the jobs if you must vary the device off at this time.
If this is an intrasystem device and no jobs are using the device, retry the vary off.
If this is a network server host adapter device, use the Display Device Description (DSPDEVD) command to determine which network server descriptions are using the device. If you must vary off the device at this time, do one of the following:
-- Vary off the network server descriptions, then vary off the device.
-- Retry the vary off using the VRYCFG command with the forced vary off (FRCVRYOFF) parameter set to *YES. If you use FRCVRYOFF(*YES), any network server description that is using this device will not function correctly until the network server description is varied off, then varied on.
